On 11th April 2019, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) announced new Electricity End – User (Retail) Tariffs applicable for customers served by Umeme Limited during the 2nd Quarter (April to June) of 2019, with a reduction in the Tariffs across all consumer categories.
According to the approved Tariff Schedule, Domestic Consumers will pay UGX 760.2 from UGX 769.0, Commercial Consumers – UGX 675.4 from UGX 684.8, Medium Industrial Consumers – UGX 604.7 from UGX 613.3, Large Industrial Consumers – UGX 371.2 from UGX 377.7, Extra Large Consumers – UGX 307.9 from UGX 311.9 and Street Lighting – UGX 742.8 from UGX. 751.1.
The approved Electricity End-User Tariffs for the Second Quarter of 2019 represent a weighted average reduction of 1.3 percent, relative to the Tariffs of the First Quarter of 2019.
The new Tariffs are applicable to all electricity consumer bills raised by Umeme Limited, based on meter readings and Yaka purchases taken in the period April to June 2019. Download Full Report Here
