{"id":3517,"date":"2020-07-06T16:07:02","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T16:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/?p=3517"},"modified":"2025-02-04T16:08:07","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:08:07","slug":"mr-julius-wandera-appointed-director-for-corporate-and-consumer-affairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/mr-julius-wandera-appointed-director-for-corporate-and-consumer-affairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr. Julius Wandera Appointed Director For Corporate and Consumer Affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mr. Julius Wandera<\/strong>\u00a0has been appointed the\u00a0<u>first<\/u>\u00a0<strong>Director of Corporate and Consumer Affairs<\/strong>\u00a0at the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA), effective 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>This role is overall responsible for Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Performance review in line with the Authority\u2019s Vision and Mission, and the Government of Uganda\u2019s Strategic Aspirations; as well as Communication and Engagement of Stakeholders and Consumer Protection.<\/p>\n<p>Before this appointment, Mr. Wandera served as Manager Communication in which role he was responsible for the Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, and Consumer Protection functions of the Authority.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, an MBA from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), and has trained in Corporate Communication at the prestigious Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Wandera is a seasoned Communication Practitioner with over a decade of experience in Public Relations and Strategic Communication. He possesses vast knowledge and insights on the Electricity Sub-Sector. He is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (CPRP) courtesy of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA); a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing \u2013 UK; and a Member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU).<\/p>\n<p>During his 11 (Eleven) Years of service to the Authority, Mr. Wandera has effectively been the Mouthpiece of the Electricity Regulatory Authority.
