{"id":3550,"date":"2019-10-08T17:13:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-08T17:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/?p=3550"},"modified":"2025-02-04T17:14:00","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T17:14:00","slug":"era-reduces-electricity-tariffs-for-the-fourth-quarter-of-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/era-reduces-electricity-tariffs-for-the-fourth-quarter-of-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"ERA reduces Electricity Tariffs for the Fourth Quarter of 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October 2019, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) announced new Electricity End &#8211; User (Retail) Tariffs applicable for customers served by Umeme Limited during the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Quarter (October to December) of 2019, with a reduction in the Tariffs across all consumer categories.<\/p>\n<p>According to the approved Tariff Schedule, Domestic Consumers will pay UGX 752.5 from UGX 755.1, Commercial Consumers \u2013 UGX 666.1 from UGX 669.5, Medium Industrial Consumers &#8211; UGX 595.6 from UGX 599.2, Large Industrial Consumers &#8211; UGX 364.0 from UGX 365.7, Extra Large Consumers &#8211; UGX 302.6 from UGX 304.7 and Street Lighting Consumers\u2013 UGX 370.4 from UGX. 371.4.<\/p>\n<p>The approved Electricity End-User Tariffs for the Fourth Quarter of 2019 represent a weighted average reduction of 0.5 percent, relative to the Tariffs of the Third Quarter of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The new Tariffs are applicable to all Electricity consumer bills raised by Umeme Limited, based on meter readings and Yaka purchases taken in the period\u00a0October to December 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 4th\u00a0October 2019, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) announced new Electricity End &#8211; User (Retail) Tariffs applicable for customers served by Umeme Limited during the 4th\u00a0Quarter (October to December) of 2019, with a reduction in the Tariffs across all consumer categories.
