{"id":3587,"date":"2018-11-21T17:44:54","date_gmt":"2018-11-21T17:44:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/?p=3587"},"modified":"2025-02-04T17:46:22","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T17:46:22","slug":"era-wins-another-financial-reporting-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hostalitecloud.com\/era\/era-wins-another-financial-reporting-award\/","title":{"rendered":"ERA Wins another Financial Reporting Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2018, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) emerged winner of the\u00a0<strong>2018<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>Financial Reporting Award &#8211; Regulatory Bodies and Associations Category.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>This is the second time that the Authority is winning the Award; the first being in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Award was in recognition and appreciation of ERA\u2019s exceptional achievement in Financial Reporting among the Regulatory Bodies in Uganda for the Financial Year 2016\/17.<\/p>\n<p>The Awards ceremony was organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and Uganda Securities Exchange (USE).<\/p>\n<p>The Awards aim at promoting Best Practices in Financial Reporting, in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.<\/p>\n<p>This award comes barely weeks since the Director for Financial Services at the Electricity Regulatory Authority, CPA Edward Iruura, was recognized as the\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cChief Finance Officer of the Year 2018 (Public Sector Category)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><em>in the \u201cCFO Awards\u201d organized by<\/em>\u00a0ACCA Uganda in partnership with Deloitte.<\/p>\n<p>CPA Iruura was recognized for his outstanding intelligence, creativity, digital knowledge, emotional intelligence, experience, vision, technical and ethical skills in respect to Financial Management.<\/p>\n<p>The Electricity Regulatory Authority has over the last three years won a number of Awards and recognitions.
