Breaking Silos, Building Futures: TeamUp\u2019s Cross-Sector Collaboration Model<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Youth in Uganda face interconnected challenge ranging from limited livelihood opportunities, inadequate access to health and water and sanitation services. To truly address these realities, TeamUp Uganda, implemented by\u00a0Action for Health Uganda (A4HU),\u00a0Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS), and\u00a0Whave Solutions, is doing things differently.<\/p>

Rather than working in isolation, these three organizations are combining their expertise in\u00a0agriculture,\u00a0water, and\u00a0health\u00a0to deliver\u00a0integrated cross-sector, youth-focused solutions\u00a0that are already transforming lives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Why Cross-Sector Collaboration Matters<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

When youth are healthy, they are more productive. When water is reliable, agriculture becomes sustainable. And when young people have access to\u00a0sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, they\u2019re empowered to make informed life and livelihood choices. That\u2019s the core of TeamUp\u2019s approach that is tackling youth development holistically.<\/p>

For example, young farmers learn how to implement\u00a0climate-smart agriculture\u00a0while also participating in\u00a0SRHR workshops. These sessions explore how climate change can affect reproductive health and how family planning can help manage natural and household resources more effectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

From Model to Movement: Replication and Policy Uptake<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the\u00a0macro level, TeamUp is now supporting\u00a0replication and policy integration strategies\u00a0to scale this model across new geographies. This involves:<\/p>

  • Introducing the TeamUp model\u00a0to potential replicating organizations<\/li>
  • Engaging government agencies\u00a0and NGOs in dialogue platforms<\/li>
  • Institutionalizing best practices\u00a0through evidence-informed planning and budgeting<\/li>
  • Elevating youth priorities\u00a0in national and district development frameworks<\/li><\/ul>

    Stakeholders across sectors including government, NGOs, and the private sector have praised the model for its effectiveness and sustainability. Many are now advocating for its replication in other regions of Uganda and beyond.<\/p>

    The program\u2019s\u00a0structured replication strategy\u00a0ensures that this model doesn\u2019t remain a one-off success, but rather\u00a0becomes part of national development systems with long-term investment and policy support.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
