Henry Balwanyi Magino is a professional Corporate Governance professional as member of the Chartered Governance Institute ICSA London UK for 22 years’ experience as a Chartered Secretary. Additionally, Henry is an Advocate of the High Court and a legal practitioner in Uganda.

Henry is the Company Secretary & Head of Legal of National Housing & Construction Company Limited and has also held similar positions in reputable organizations in Uganda like British American Tobacco where he was Company Secretary for 8 years; Entebbe Handling Services; National Medial Stores and Roko Construction Limited.

Henry joined the Board of Uganda Development Bank in 2015 as Non-Executive Director initially for 3 years and due to satisfactory performance, his contract was renewed for an additional 3 years. While on the Board he has had an illustrious career as the legal mind on the UDB Board and in Corporate Governance where he actively guides and gives tremendous professional support to the entire Board.

In 2017 Henry was appointed as Chairman of the UDB Audit & Risk Committee an oversight committee of the Board which he has steered well to the satisfaction of the entire Board. Henry is a very active member of Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society and the Chartered Governance Institute – ICSA in Uganda.
