Technology and Digitization Working Group

Purpose

To drive digital transformation in microfinance and promote safe, inclusive technology use. The committee’s mandate is to provide leadership, direction and advisories necessary to advance microfinance industry strategy, ensure continued growth with impact consistent with AMFIU’s mission.

Objectives

Identify the key common digital security challenges in the microfinance industry and effective ways of addressing them.
Collaborating on digital security initiatives such as capacity development and customer awareness.
Collaborate on developing the capacity to detect and mitigate digital threats and vulnerabilities.
Support the development and follow-up of a digital transformation roadmap.
Support the conducting of the Sectoral ICT capacity assessment.
Support the development of Cybersecurity guidelines for the sector.
